Apparently there has been some ruckus over the latest New Yorker cover. It depicts, well...see for yourself.

It was posted on Lew Rockwell's blog that:

" No one would do such a cover of McCain, playing into the most damaging rumors, but imagine this: a jaunty young John, in his pilot uniform, sitting comfortably and chatting with his Vietnamese captors. Two gorgeous gals serve his every wish. He is smoking a cigar and drinking a martini. In the next room other POWs are being intensively interrogated. Ha ha, Republicans?".

A Pair of Jacks

Here we have two portraits of Jack Nicholson, taken form a scene in the movie "A Few Good Men". One done in color, titled "A Very Unhappy Jack". This one was a gift to my brother. The other in black and white, titled "CO2 Jack". Its title comes from the fact that, to paint it, I used amorphous carbon and titanium dioxide.

READ BEFORE YOU SCROLL DOWN:

So, I decided to draw some still life. Just a bowl of fruit. Nothing too complex. After I got done drawing it in pencil, I noticed it still needed something. I used the Prismacolor markers my girlfriend got me for Christmas, and inked the picture. Looking at it, I thought it turned out well. Then I noticed something. I noticed that in the ink was, what looked to be, an anomaly. Upon closer inspection, I realized that it was the image of our lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Yes, that's right. For any and all skeptics out there, just look at the picture and try to tell me that's not Jesus.
